Iʼm planning to start a new series this month but I didnʼt want to bring an end to this series either, so say hello to my Triplicity Thursdays series once again. As I
ranted about in my June/July faves post, I managed to get my hands on embroidered jeans after a very very long time! And as cliche as it may sound it definitely made me feel complete <3 So I decided to trio style it.They have to be one of the easiest clothing you could possibly style for any occasion and
Look one: This look is perfect for lazy summer days, or if you need to leave in a rush. I simply paired the jeans with a cropped off the shoulder top. The beauty of
embroidery is that there are lots of colors involved. This means that embroidered articles of clothing are perfect for mix and matching purposes. In this case, for the colour choice of my top I went with a shade of red.
**Tip one: Have fun playing around with the colour of your top, simply pick one colour from the embroidery and choose a shade thatʼs either darker or lighter.
Look two: If youʼre having a bad hair day of course you want all the attention away from your hair, so what better way is there to that than by wearing embroidered jeans?! You can simply pair the jeans with a basic tank top and to blend everything together nicely, hide all your hair with a head wrap. If youʼre not a head wrap sorta person, donʼt fret! You can always use the scarf as a neck scarf. Another option you could consider is to pair the body suit with the jeans which is a definite perfect duo.
**Tip two:If you want to go the extra mile to make sure no attention goes to your hair you can also choose to wear a body suit, just in the same way that there are basic tank tops there are also basic body suits. But for the sake of reverting the attention from your hair to your outfit, you can choose to wear a body suit with an open back perhaps or one with different patterns on it. Be sure to have fun with it!
Look three: This look would be apt for days where you wanna be formal but not too formal. For this look I paired it with a white blouse which I also tucked in. Choosing a simple and basic blouse will help make the jeans the highlight of the look, and also help balance everything out.
**Tip three:If you feel like going all out there and being all extra, you can always pair the jeans with a fancier blouse. Iʼd complete the look with some loafers but
you can equivalently pair it with flats or even sneakers.
Honestly, not only are embroidered jeans awesome for styling this summer, but theyʼre also super comfortable! The latter probably depends on your choice of jeans, I.e. whether you opt for boyfriend/mom jeans or skinny jeans. I definitely recommend that you get yourself a pair- or more-if you already donʼt own one! What was your favourite look out of the three? How would you choose to style yours the next time you wear them? Are you intrigued by embroidered jeans yet? Leave all your thoughts down below!

As we said our farewells to June, that marked the end of half of 2017! July literally whizzed by, nonetheless it was a great month! My blogging game was super weak this past month but I promise Iʼll get back on track this August. I have to say that itʼs been one roller coaster of half a year.Letʼs make the remainder of the year an epic one shall we? All that nostalgic vibe aside, lemme begin my mash up of July and June faves post.
Most of these past two months for me, was spent reuniting with friends and family. Rainy season has officially began where I am, and of course I decided to
get into a lilʼ mischief and decided to go run and dance in the rain. It was fun in the moment, but the post-rain happiness left me with a cold. Of course I had to
layer myself in endless clothes to nurse the bloody cold. In other words I wasnʼt able to be to dress as I wanted. But after recovering I started experimenting
with button down shirts. You can definitely expect a post where I mix and match button down shirts soon. This specific button down shirt made it to my
June faves list because I absolutely adore it, mainly because of the padded shoulders. You can tuck them in, leave it as it is, or tie them as you will. Theyʼre
very versatile! Tying it loosely in the middle and pairing it with high waisted jeans was my go to look. To accessorize I added large earrings, you can either
accessorize heavily or lightly, again its totally up to you.
This July I attempted this Instagram challenge which was style based: Style Me July- where I had a theme to follow for each day. I succeeded in completing 28/31 of the outfits. It was super fun and it had to make it to my July faves list! You can go over to my Insta to see all the pics. Iʼm definitely up for doing another one soon! Probably not in August, but September maybe and if anyone is up for doing a style based challenge feel free to!
June was also the month of Ramadan and to all my fellow muslim readers, I hope you had a blessed month of Ramadan! Iʼve got several family friends who are muslim and by spending time with them during Ramadan over the years Iʼve come to learn a lot about Ramadan traditions and fall in love with these stunning tradition. From the afternoons spent cooking feasts, to the actual feast with the entire family when their fast is finally broken at Iftar, to the Eid preparations, everything is amazing! Woah I straight up sound like a foodie which I am btw - and you may get the perception that I only adore it for the feasts, but I promise itsʼs not just that- itʼs also everything in between. Iʼve grown up with these ramadan traditions, and have come to love them! Thus they had to make it to my monthly faves for June! As for July, I got my hands on these embroidered jeans and I fell in love! When I was younger I had so many pairs of embroidered jeans but then I grew out of them and I couldnʼt get my hands on a pair that fit, but when I finally got my hands on these jeans-as cliché as it may sound- I felt complete💕
That one series I was really digging in June was Girlboss. Itʼs a real shame there wonʼt be a second season though. Itʼs soo irritating to find out that a show you were digging wonʼt be returning for a second season, especially when they make the finale end with a cliffhanger!Like whyyy on earth does this happen! We deserve closure! But then again when itʼs books that are adapted into movies, you can always go read the book. Or if youʼre the sort of person that reads a book prior to watching what its been adapted into and you thought the movie/tv show adaptation was a let-down I guess the news of cancellation make you happy haha. For July the series that made it to the top of my faves list would be ‘The Handmaidʼs Taleʼ. I cannot wait for the second season of ‘The Handmaidʼs Taleʼ I was disappointed to find out that there was no second book to it, but hopefully if the second season doesnʼt get cancelled itʼll definitely be great! Below are the links to both books, and if you wanna watch them be sure to catch them on Netflix.
Thatʼs it for my June and July faves mashup. Anything form my list manage to make it to yours? Do leave your thoughts down below!

So this blog post is a part of Design Blogger Competition organized by CGTrader. These are all my thoughts and opinions on the direction that fashion is headed in. Iʼd love to read your thoughts on this topic too so leave your comments below! .
First of all, let me admit that Iʼm a self-confessed clothes junkie. As a result of being a clothes junkie, I'm a victim of overflowing clothes, and this tends to get
overwhelming at times. Umm isnʼt every fashion blogger a victim too I hear you ask, apparently not! There are fashion bloggers out there that are all about
minimalism, and I absolutely respect them for this! Iʼm always seeking to find a solution to maximize this overwhelming feeling. Of course there are the top
three obvious solutions I can resort to:
1. Stop shopping
2.Get rid of some things
3.Get a larger closet.
Trust me Iʼve tried all these solutions before, but they only serve as temporary solutions. The root of my problems I realized was 'FOMO', the other cause of it: privileges. Yeah, every fashion enthusiast/bloggerʼs dream is to have closets with endless clothes. Yeah, we all get urges to splurge out and get something fancy. Some people tend to take this privilege for granted or simply misuse it and this definitely has itʼs consequences. Which for me is the case of my overwhelming closet! You can however use the consequences to your advantage! Read on to find out how!
In our current society where 'FOMO'( the fear of missing out) shadows us, we need to learn to tackle the FOMO before it tackles us.The concept of FOMO isnʼt only applicable to clothes, but almost everything in our lives. Yet this post will be focusing on the concept of FOMO in relation to clothes.
All things vintage are coming back as ‘new trendsʼ, and weʼre here splurging our money on these gorgeous ancient creations, for the sole purpose of not missing out and also because weʼre privileged. Letʼs face it, would it hurt to go digging in your parentʼs/relatives closet of clothes they no longer want. Youʼd definitely find vintage clothing there! Then all that would be require of you would be to tailor whatever ‘vintageʼ thing you find to your liking.Or if that isnʼt an option you can always go thrifting!Obviously these two methods wouldnʼt hurt you as much as going all out there to buy these clothes from posh retail stores. Itʼd be a win-win, both for your money and you- as you wouldnʼt be missing out on that trend.
I always used to judge those people that went all out there for a single event to buy that one 'perfect outfit', but then theyʼd end up not wearing that outfit ever again. Pshh rich people problems Iʼd always used to say… until I somehow managed to get caught up in it myself. Iʼve still got outfits I had bought for certain events just sitting in the back of my closet. And they look so sad! They were just worn once for whatever event I had gotten them for and then never been touched again. I came to a realization that my problem was that I couldnʼt figure out how to mix and match them. With my blog, my main goal is to present the infinite possibilities one outfit can be styled into if itʼs effectively mix and matched. Thus these outfits are def on my list of outfits to mix and match and present to you guys on this blog! Any fancy outfit can be adjusted to form a basic outfit, just in the same way that a basic outfit can be tailored into something fancy.
We need to keep in mind that trends will go and come but the latter always turns out to be temporary. No trend ever permanently disappears. Thus the future will definitely will be us battling against FOMO and supposed ‘new trendsʼ that in fact existed a while back. Gosh that sounds so cynical… but taking small measures now will definitely give us the upper hand. Iʼve compiled 7 steps that I made in order to defeat that FOMO. From my experiences, I have to say that theyʼve definitely helped. There were and still are rocky moments, but there is progress!
7 Steps to defeat that FOMO -from the perspective of an actual clothes junkie who is slowly en route to defeating that FOMO
1.Breathe. Admit that youʼre a clothes junkie.
2.Acknowledge the fact that youʼve developed a habit and that it is not permanent and that it is possible to change this habit
3.Practice virtual window shopping. - Yup thatʼs a thing! I discovered it from being broke, but it also seriously helped prevent me from shopping excessively for things I donʼt even actually need! To do so will take a lot of will power or simply being broke haha
4.Declutter and start anew - i.e . If youʼve gotta get rid of 10 bags, sell them and instead of splurging what you just made on another 10 bags, save that money and aim to get one higher priced/quality bag. If youʼve spent a lot of money on something thatʼs high quality, chances are youʼre going to appreciate that item with no doubt!
5.Think before buying and do your research! - When you get something and its on the pricey side you want to make sure a) youʼll have multiple uses for that item(in other words youʼll be able to mix and match it flexibly ) b) youʼll love it (duh! You just spent that much money on it)
6.Get creative or go spread some kindness! - Seek for creativity when youʼre shopping and also getting rid of clothes! If youʼre desperate to shop for something fancy, hit that thrift store! If thatʼs not an option wait till the season is about to end and hit that store, everything will be on sale. Also get creative with clothes youʼve decided you wonʼt be wearing anymore, but for the love of clothes only and I repeat only if youʼre convinced youwonʼt be destructing those clothes - get those tutorials online and grab your creative friends to help. Throwing clothes to no use is just painful to see and do! Additionally go spread that kindness and donate clothes at least once a year. Do good and youʼll get good back. ~Maybe that shirt you were saving up like mad for will end up on sale, who knows, but share that kindness peeps!
7.Mix and match! - This is a similar point to being creative with your clothes, but I have to state it clearly! Like anything in life you just need a strong foundation and youʼre off. To do in terms of mix and matching you
just need to be very very precise. Colorful items are super easy to mix and match, if youʼre a person thatʼs all about the dark side worry not you can mix and match too! Just be precise about the details, texture, and patterns. As cliche as this may sound , my perception of an outfit can change every time I mix and match it. Even though there may be some out there, in my opinion, there isnʼt a specific step to step guide to mix and matching. You
just gotta learn to have fun with your outfits and gradually you develop your own version of a guide to mix and matching. To sum that up not one mix and matcher mix and match the same, and thatʼs what makes it fun - discovering the endless possiblities one outfit could probably produce!
Well, thatʼs it on my part! FOMO is a very scary thing but thatʼs only if you let it be! I did state above that you can use the consequences of FOMO to your
advantage! For me I developed my sense of mix and matching abilities and simultaneously learned how to control my shopping.People that are on the verge
of letting the FOMO take over them and cause them to shop excessively and overwhelm themselves, there is a way out! Just donʼt give in :) Yours truly is still en route to defeating that FOMO, join her, itʼs never too late;)

Iʼve been nominated for the Liebster recognition award by the lovely Sophia of sophiaaaxo.com and the lovely Diana Ratana of dianaratana.com*happy dance* It may seem trivial but I feel that my presence in the blogging community is now official *hair flip* Theyʼre two different versions so Iʼve broken up this post into part 1 and part 2 .For part 1 I basically have a set of questions which Sophia gave me and I will be answering them through the first half of this post. I will also at the end of the first part leave a list of blogs Iʼve nominated to answer the questions Iʼve left for them. For the second half I will be addressing Dianaʼs questions as well as nominating 15 other bloggers at the end. I hope you guys get to know a lilʼ more about me with my answers. Youʼll definitely be finding out about my minion obsession! Now letʼs get started shall we!
LIEBSTER AWARD 1
The rules of this award:
1.Post the award on your blog along with the badge
2.Thank the blogger who nominated you for this award and link back to their blog
3.Nominate 11 blogs
4.Notify theses bloggers of the nomination
5.Answer 11 questions you have been given and give your nominees 11
questions to answer.
1.What is one thing in this whole entire world that you have always wanted?
-A walk in closet plus a beauty room thatʼs colour coordinated, and contain 90% pink.
2.What is the most romantic/cutest thing anyone has ever done for you?
- Disclaimer: Iʼve got a major obsession with minions! So two best friends of mine got me these two minion related gadgets as presents, one was a DIY phone case and one was a minion power pack. Receiving them seriously made me melt a lilʼ on the inside <3 If I ever face a zombie apocalypse Iʼll def. make sure to grab these two, cause like maybe they will be able to grant me access to the minion world, who knows hahaha. I'll put a picture of them towards the end.
3.How long have you been blogging for?Can you remember the exact date?
-4 months, I started March 4th, 2017.
4.If you could change the blogging community in any way, how would you change it and why?
- Perhaps make it easier to connect/find
millennial bloggers out there. But I still love how there is a variety of generations out there in theblogosphere. Itʼs interesting reading about their perspectives on things and also getting back their feedback on our
perspectives. After all blogging is about sharing different perspectives right ;)
5.Do you have a talent?
-I speak seven languages :)
6.If you had to rant about something right now, what would it be?
-Procrastinating is a nasty hole to get lured into! Itʼs too easy to get lured into but too hard to get out off! When you donʼt feel like doing something just take a break and return to it later. Donʼt push yourself or force yourself into doing something when you just have no motivation to do so, because thatʼs the one-way ticket to procrastination land. Despite saying this I have been procrastinating a lot recently.
7.Favourite go to movie?
-Despicable me <3 Cannot wait to watch the third
8.What question do you hate to answer?
- “ Do you pronounce your name as My-kah or Mee-kah?” Umm do you pronounce Pikachuʼs name as “
Pie-kachu"? Nooo! So why on earth would you pronounce my name as My- kah?! *Sigh*but I still answer it either way.
9.How do you unwind from a stressful day?
- Block everyone out, jump into my fav jumpsuit, and pamper myself as if thereʼs no tomorrow: which consists of 30% skin care, 60% stuffing my face with my unhealthiest cravings, 5% online clothes shopping and another 5% looking at anything minion related.
11.What is your good deed for the day?
- I shared my umbrella with someone! I usually despise sharing my umbrella with people, especially tall people because I always end up wet. But this time the person I shared it with was shorter than me so all was good.

1.Include who nominated you and a link to their blog
2.Nominate 15 the bloggers for the award
3.Write a post about how and why you started your blog.
4.Give new bloggers two pieces of advice/
5.Notify the bloggers youʼve nominated about the award and a link to the post
How and why I started this Blog
How I started this blog is actually a funny story. Iʼve always adored fashion, clothes and dressing up. I was having a conversation with one best friend of mine about clothes one day and somehow we started talking about blogs. At that time I just laughed it off and said that maybe someday Iʼd do it. Ever since that day she continuously urged me to start a fashion blog.I am clueless when it comes to the world of coding and all. We somehow found a simple platform for me to start the blog on. So I did start, but being the lazy person I am it took me forever to set everything up. She helped me loads: from helping me to take outfit pictures to motivating me to publish posts. She was starting out with her youtube when I started my blog. So one afternoon we decided to publish our content at the same time. She pressed publish to my first ever post and I pressed publish to her first video, then we squealed our hearts out hahaha. But Iʼm glad she pushed me to start a blog cause I have come to fall in love with blogging! Why I started this blog, well this blog will document a lot of what Iʼm wearing and occasionally you guys will get a lilʼ peek of the latest mischief Iʼm getting up to. Iʼm really also into mix and matching clothes and I want to inspire more people to start mix and matching their clothes.
My advice to new bloggers
1.I've ranted about this earlier but donʼt do anything when you donʼt feel like doing it! Yeah itʼs nice having new content up, but when youʼre unmotivated or just not feeling it, donʼt force yourself to produce anything. Itʼs better producing something you like when you like. You may not think your readers will notice but trust me they will.
2. Do what YOU wanna do, after all your blog is YOUR platform and a representation of you and your thoughts. Just be you and donʼt try to be like other bloggers out there. Itʼs okay to get inspiration from others but please for the love of minions, just be you.
The bloggers I nominate
Feel free to show some love to any of the lovely bloggers mentioned above, theyʼve got killer blogs!

Itʼs the last Thursday of June! This may or may not mean that todayʼs post will mark the end of my Triplicity Thursdays series...but fear not Iʼve got another series coming up for July, which youʼre bound to enjoy.😌
Anywho for todayʼs segment of Triplicity Thursdays, I decided to style a scarf, not as you would expect though. To add some summer vibes to this blog, Iʼll be styling scarves as shirts- specifically as tube tops today. I came across this
concept of scarf shirts on Instagram and I have been obsessed! You basically get a patterned scarf -preferably one made from thinner materials for the summer heat- then you wrap it around your torso till you form a tube top to
your liking. That probably made no sense but youʼll see down below how I formed my tube top. I tied it from back to front and tucked the knot under the fold I made at the front.
Your scarf choice is crucial! If you want to play around with how you tie or have more options for adjusting the tightness opt for a longer scarf.Longer scarves are more flexible and can be tied in any way to form the shirt of your
preference. I styled a silk scarf, despite being silk it didnʼt slip off, if it was smaller perhaps it would have given me a difficult time but because I was able to bring it round to the front to tie it, it didnʼt give me any problems. Also for
mix and matching purposes I decided to style a very colorfully patterned scarf. They're easier to mix and match. Now scarf details aside letʼs get started with the looks!
Style 1: This is a very easy look to achieve that also seems very fancy. If you wanna leave the house ASAP, this outfit is for you! Just slip on your ripped jeans, your fav sneakers, tie the scarf around you and you are out.
**Tip 1: If youʼve chosen a very patterned scarf, go for basic jeans so that only your scarf top receives all the attention and remains the highlight
of the look.
Style 2: Now this look is slightly more fancier than the first one, but still similar.
I paired the scarf shirt with wide legged pants and pointy cat heeled flats. I was aiming for a sassy formal-ish look here. This look is perfect for fancy meals at fancy places.
**Tip 2: If youʼre wearing this in the evening simply add a blazer to complete
the sassy formal-ish look. Or if you want to make it less formal refrain from
tucking in your shirt and simply tie the scarf to form a crop top.
Style 3: Saved the best, and the fanciest look for last. A DIY dress ~ I paired the scarf shirt with a white skirt and added a statement belt and made it seem as if it was one fancy dress. This would be the best go-to outfit for the summer! You can wear your two piece swimsuit under for a beach day or you can simply rock it as it is as an outfit for a super sunny day.
**Tip 3 :Adding a statement accessory- such as the belt in this case- helps add a nice finishing touch. Also if you want extra support to hold your scarf shirt in place,go for this look.
Well thatʼs a wrap. Hope you guys liked the looks I formed from trio-styling the scarf shirts. I wonʼt be saying goodbye to these scarf shirts anytime soon, so youʼll be seeing more of them in future posts for sure! Which was your favourite look?
Will you be trying out these scarf shirts this summer? Do leave your thoughts below in the comments! Iʼd love to hear them!

I’m back at it with my second post for my triplicity Thursday series. This week I’ll be trio- styling *drum rolls* sweatpants! When is it ever not a good time to throw on sweats?! Props to all of you that workout everyday, you honestly have no idea how much respect I have for y’all. Me on the other hand….I’m more of a couch potato. Yeah I have a collection of sweats, yet I don’t actually use them to work out. I do the contrary and save them for styling on lazy days. This post is mainly for all the fellow couch potatoes out there, but people who workout yet still wanna know how to style sweatpants, do read on! I attempted to mix and match one pair of brown sweats (all that couch potato talk inspired me on the colour choice) to form 3 different styles, as always I’d love to hear your thoughts on them so leave them down below!
Style 1:I decided to pull off a stylish sporty look. I paired the sweats with an off-the shoulder top. This look is perfect for when you’re finding it difficult to figure out what to wear. If you are actually going for a workout like this take a change of shirt for working out in. It’s alright making a grand entrance to that gym, but working out in an off-the shoulder top… that’s another story. 😂
**Tip 1: Pair your sweats with a fancy shirt to achieve a successful stylish sporty look. When I say fancy you don’t have to go all out, think more of crop tops or off the shoulder tops.
Style 2: For this look I paired the sweats with a hoodie. Now hoodies + sweats =perfect for lazy days. You’re getting comfort while also giving off some style, isn’t that the ultimate goal of everyone's lazy day outfit?! Plus if you sporty people do decide to go for a run or something at 5am, you can always do it in a hoodie, just opt for a thin one.
**Tip 2: Add a hoodie that’s bright or a graphic hoodie to give the illusion that you put lots of effort into your outfit, when really, it barely even took you 5 minutes to style! If you wanna add more to that illusion you can also go the extra mile and throw on a cropped hoodie. You can’t go wrong with a hoodie and sweats look.
Style 3: I decided to add a splash of colour with a pink sweater. The pink was the
highlight of the outfit, next in line to the scarf.I added the scarf just for the sake of maintaining the brown theme I had going on. I topped of the look with ankle brown boots. Now what! Did she just wear boots with sweats?! Yup! Who says you can’t add a lil’ extra final touch to the look. This look, sadly for people that work out, is not apt for going to the gym in no way. Yet you can choose to try this look on one of your cheat days or off days😉
**Tip 3: If you’re tired of rocking pants, feel free to rock your sweats next time. Consider it as if you’re rocking saggy jeans. I mean, we all need a break from those jeans from time to time.
That’s a wrap on my trio-styled sweatpants. Fellow couch potatoes I hope I gave you some inspiration regarding how to mix and match those sweatpants. Leave your thoughts down below. 😉

New series alert! This June I’ll be introducing a series called “ Triplicity Thursdays” to my blog where I’ll be choosing one outfit and mix and matching it to form three different styles. I’ll be adding more clothing articles to that specific outfit or completely revamping that specific clothing article *rubs hands together* we shall find out! I figured I’d be able to express mix and matching effectively through this series.
To kick off the series I chose this checkered black and white dress to trio-style ( let’s vouch for this word for word of the month?)
Style One: For the first look I kept it very basic, I simply wore a long black cardigan over the dress and completed the look with black converse. This look is suitable for running quick errands or for lazy days. If you get too warm you can easily take off the cardigan and when it gets a bit chilly you can put it back on.
**Tip 1: if you’re styling a checkered dress and don’t want to color clash or want to play it safe, simply choose a cardigan colored similarly as one of the colors on the dress. In this case I went with a black one, but alternatively I could have gone with a white one.
Style Two: Yeah I may have a slight obsession with bows☺… I mean look at them, what’s not to love about them! So for style two I played around with the ongoing black and white theme. I paired the checkered dress with black knee high socks, black converse and a white blouse underneath. To complete the black and white game going on, I added a black bow to the centre of my dress and a huge white bow on to my messy hair bun.
**Tip 2🎀: If you don’t want to accessorize heavily just grab yourself some bows or DIY one and add them to your outfit. Of course you don’t have to go over the top with them like myself. You can either make the bow the highlight of your outfit by placing it where it can be seen easily. Or alternatively, you could place it subtly where people don’t notice it at first, but when they do it gives your outfit that extra oomph.
Style Three: I paired it with a checkered crop top, the squares on the crop top however are relatively smaller compared to the squares on the dress. Aand *drum roll* I also revamped the dress into a skirt by tucking in the top half inwards and tying it together at the back. Ladies we all go through that phase where we tend to get sick of our dresses no? So there’s a little hack for you!
**Tip 3: If you get sick of your dress, revamp it into a skirt by tucking the upper half inwards and either tying it at the back/side or holding it together with a small belt. Going back to the size of the squares, I played around with the squares because this enables you to create a certain illusion of shorter torso and an elongated lower half.
Well those were the three looks for today. If you’ve got thoughts on these outfits don’t hesitate to share them down below in the comments. I hope you guys will enjoy this series.

Today’s post will be focused on my monthly faves series ‘This,These and That’. This post is way overdue and was supposed to go up last week, but life got in the way. Better late than never though, right? May started off rocky due to finals but things evened out and May ended up being great because I got to graduate!? ?
When you start something with a bam you definitely have to end it with a bam. ?That’s what I was aiming for with my graduation outfit yet life was testing me as I was unable to get the dress I had initially wanted to wear. Nevertheless things eventually worked out and I managed to get hold of another dress. This other dress that I got however managed to make it to the top of my monthly faves, and yeah, that’s a big deal. How I got this dress is quite a long story, but long story short, I did not choose it, someone else did. *Gasp* How could you let someone else choose a dress for you? Was it a stylist? And to answer those question you’ve probably got running through your head : nope! ?She was no stranger and we are actually really close. She knows my style inside and out, to say the least, and managed to choose something breathtaking! I’m usually reluctant to go with what others pick out for me… or if do end up going with it, I always have to tweak something. In this case though, there was nothing I could tweak! Have you guys or ever trusted someone else to pick your outfit for you? Would you be down for it… or are you too picky? Do share your thoughts below. I have to say, it is actually interesting to discover how others would interpret your sense of fashion and style though!
Beauty wise, these golden nails and this Miss Dior perfume( which you can view here managed to make it to the top of my faves list. ?
I’m the sort of person that cannot start their week with bad nails. Sundays are reserved for pamper days for me no matter what. Even on stressful weeks I have to somehow squeeze at least 15 minutes to pamper myself which includes a lil’ manicure session.I’d love to hear about your mandatory routine as part of your pamper day (which ensures that you present yourself as if you’ve got your life together) down in the comments below. Even if you’re falling apart on the inside you gotta keep those nails looking decent so people get the illusion that you’ve got your life together. ?The point of all that rambling is to point out how obsessed I was these nails I got. I’m a lover of all things shiny and bright? so these nails along with all the shine on my dress, I have to say made me melt a little on the inside! It was really hard getting rid off them, I’m guilty of keeping them on for too long?… but can you blame me! They were way too alluring to remove!
That one song that really resonated with me this May was B.O.B’s ‘ Big Kids’. Despite having graduated it still hasn’t hit me for some reason. Fair enough though...everyone adjusts to things at different rates and everything will unfold in due time. The journey so far has been amazing, to those who have gone through it with me and supported me, I cannot thank you enough for being there! Here’s to a new chapter, adulting here we come!
Whether or not society has handed the adulthood cloak to you, try to keep in mind that "we're just big kids" and "the world's our toy". Don't lock that inner child in you away for good, and let it loose once in a while! There is absolutely no harm in that.?

I am officially back now after those seemingly endless weeks of finals that drained the sleep, joy and energy out of me! 😅 As I bid farewell to exams, I get to reunite with my closet and finally have a normal sleep cycle! Let’s kick off today’s ‘Micro thought, Macro Shot’ on a happy note then shall we 😉
The micro thought that inspired this look is my curiosity of how people can pull off neck scarves. I have never tried these before but I’ve always been intrigued by them. So I experimented with them this weekend, for a wedding I had to attend, and now I am obsessed. Rainy season is almost here where I am right now, so I figured I’d get the most of the sun left this season. For the macro shot, I paired this purple dress with a white and purple floral Mario Valentino scarf and added pointy cat heeled cream flats to complete the look.
The dress alone would have been quite basic, so as I knotted the neck scarf I was able to add some sophistication to the look. I guess in the winter or more colder days I could mix and match this dress with a turtleneck and thigh high boots. However, that would mean
I’d have to get rid off the scarf, so perhaps I could pair it with a super long trench coat instead and keep the scarf 😂 I’ll update you guys if I ever try that out.
Since it was also my first time with neck scarves, I refrained from accessorizing heavily.
In terms of accessories, I stuck with a simple purple ring. I thought adding long earrings would have clashed with the scarf. Though thinking back on it, I could have worn stud earrings, that wouldn’t have clashed or taken the attention away from the scarf.
Overall though, wearing the neck scarf was an interesting experience. You can tie them into all sorts of knots. You can adjust the looseness/fastness to your liking. And you can use any material or length of your preference. For colder days you could opt for warmer ones whereas for warmer days you could opt for lightweight ones such as silk.
I have to say, I am definitely going to be adding more of these neck scarves to my closet. I cannot wait to experiment with more of these and add knots of sophistication to future outfits I style.
What are your thoughts on these neck scarves? Do you have intentions of
trying these neck scarves or are you already a regular wearer of these? Share your thoughts in the comments below, I’d love to hear them!

The title of today's post may or may not explain my absence, but sincere apologies for my absence! 🙈I’ve got finals coming up (they actually started today) and the past few weeks I’ve been occupied with studying - and all the tons of stress that comes with studying- so I haven’t been able to create content for you guys. Bear with me for a few more days and I’ll be back with fun content, trust me I’ve got some fun things in store for you guys. However, till then I won’t be around much but I’ve managed to find time amidst my study breaks to create my monthly faves segment: this, these and that.
This look (sweats plus a shirt) has been my go to while studying. I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t study in posh clothes. I tend to get distracted easily so if I wore anything fancy or even close to fancy I’d end up distracting myself with the embroidery or playing with the buttons and all instead of studying. Don’t judge me, even the roof is interesting to stare at when we’re stuck studying for hours. I could always stay in my PJs but that would also distract me since I’d be thinking about my bed and sleeping the entire time 😂So that’s why I opt for sweats for times like these. When I said nothing fancy, I didn’t mean all dull colors though…that’s just depressing... so with dark/dull sweats I always throw on a bright shirt on top and vice versa. This specific sweat and shirt combo had the right amount of color, sparkles and graphics. Not too dull and not too distracting.
These fluffy slippers I’ve had for a while and they're the comfiest thing in the world, and also how cute are they?! It’s my all time fave couple that I ‘ship: Minnie and Mickey! These slippers were able to make it onto this month’s faves list after I realized they actually have another purpose other than being comfortable and cute. I’ve never danced in them before but this month I realized they’re also super comfy to dance in
during study breaks without making you fall. Usually other slippers like these make me fall real quick even if I attempt to walk fast in them let alone allow me to dance in them. So after discovering that these slippers are multi-purpose, they came onto my monthly
Stress levels were super high due to all the studying, so dance breaks were a must everyday! That one artist that let me dance my hopeless heart out while cursing out all my daunting study sessions was BAYNK. It’s literally impossible not to jump around crazily and invent crazy moves to his songs😌 If you guys have any song recommendations/ artists to jam to during study breaks or stressful periods, don’t hesitate to leave them down below in the comments! 🎶
If any of you have finals starting this week or the next, good luck! We shall all get through them! They’ll all be over in no time( fingers crossed) and as Dory says, “ Just Keep Swimming”

This week’s micro thought and micro shot were both heavily inspired by Victorian ladies’ outfits. Yup you read right, it’s all about hoop skirts, bustles and crinolines today😉
So I’ve always been into the posh dresses from back in the Victorian era. Trying one on and actually experiencing the entire process is definitely on my bucket list! Like seriously, those ladies who had to wear those countless layers, cage crinolines and spend ages getting ready seriously deserve respect!🙊 Yet here we are in the twenty-first century stating that we take ages to get ready 😂
This weekend I decided to channel my awe and recreate a simpler version of their outfit. I mixed the current off the shoulder trend with my grey cross patterned shirt along with a white puffy skirt. In terms of accessories, those ladies go over the top, but I wanted to keep it simple so all I added was white chopsticks to my side bun.
I wore this outfit to a Sunday family brunch. I usually opt for oversized outfits whenever I’m at gatherings like this where I know I’ll be stuffing my face like no man’s business. This puffy dress, along with the amount of food I ended up eating were a perfect match. Due to the loose fit of the skirt towards the stomach area, I didn’t have to worry about my food baby going peek-a-boo every time I moved.😂
That's all I have for today.

I hope you've all had a somewhat productive month. I know I have for sure, especially with the launch of my blog😊
So instead of doing the generic monthly faves,I'll be doing a segment called 'This, these, and that' at the end of each month. I'll basically be highlighting things I've been digging for that month.
In terms of outfits, this has been my fave outfit of the month. Currently where I am, it's been rainy and cold most of the time. So this look has been my go to when I wanted to look presentable while feeling warm and comfy at the same time.
For my basics I wore high waisted black jeans and a super fluffy black turtleneck. To add a lil' something to the
basic-ness, I added a light pink faux fur jacket and leather boots.
Accompanying the cold weather, I've been jamming to these two tracks: The Heavy's 'How You like me Now' and Saint Motel's 'Move'.I encourage you to go give these tracks a listen! I'll take full responsibility if you get the lyrics stuck in your head and can't stop singing after listening to them though😂 These two tracks didn't fail to get me to dance as soon as I got home from a cold rainy day out.
Spring is in the air around the world, and the scent I've been loving is Dior's 'Dior Addict'.
I feel that this scent is perfect for spring and since I've been wearing it almost 24/7, it continuously reminds me that spring is heree. Thus that has been the scent of the month.
Those are the highlights for the month~

I'm back this week to introduce a segment called micro-macro-mondays. Here I'll be sharing micro thoughts on the things that inspire me to post the macro shots😊
This week the micro thought that inspired me to create this look, is Valentine's Day...or rather White Day.
The maroon shorts and the black sheer sleeved shirt give off this excited vibe in a way, while the french braids and the lipstick were musts to maintain a somewhat sophisticated look.At this point you're probably thinking ummm...white day...what on earth is this girl going on about😂 Calm down, it's nothing weird!
So I'm half Japanese,( fact of the day 😇 ) and Valentine's day celebration takes a different turn there. Not only is it celebrated twice a year, but there is also a set of rules men and women actually have to follow. Valentine's day occurs on Feb 14th as norm, and then White day occurs the following month on March 14th. On February 14th females give the males present and males give the females presents on March 14th.
Although this is a fun tradition, not everyone follows it. My parents, being the rebels that they are, actually celebrate it the other way round and tbh it makes no difference. For us ladies it's more exciting to get presents first though I guess, but then there's the whole best for last thing😂
Ladies comment below when you'd prefer receiving your presents😉

With this platform my ultimate goal is to show you all that sure you can keep on getting new clothes, and trust me I loveee getting new clothes, but mix and matching is the actual fun part. Let's have another throwback to a wardrobe crisis my friend had encountered once a blue moon ago. So she had to attend a party but was freaking out about wearing them same outfit she wore that day to the party which was in two days. Of course I could have simply urged her to go shopping, but it’s situations like these a girl’s gotta take advantage of. This exact moment was also what happened to spark my interests in mix and matching back to life. Feeling inspired, I told her to calm down and that we could create a new outfit out of what she was wearing with a few tweaks. Her response to this: “there’s no way to fix this, what’s everyone going to think’’ verbatim! So we ended up making these small tweaks and finished with an extremely sophisticated look. Unfortunately life wasn’t all about documenting looks on social media back then, so the look wasn't documented. However, from then on I’ve brought mix and matching back into my life and now here I am to present my mix and matched outfits to you guys!
Follow me as I mix and match and take it to a whole other level. It's not about a specific color, it's all about the shades you can derive from that color!😉

When I’m not getting up to mischief you’ll find me strolling around in snazzy outfits (the judging is all up to you now 😉 ). This blog will document a lot of what I’m wearing and occasionally you guys will get a lil’ peek of the latest mischief I’m getting up to.😇
